Thu, 24 September 2009 Oak Lawn building owners Mike and Mark Slinkman addressed the Oak Lawn Village Board meeting Tuesday Sept. 22, 2009 accusing village officials including Manager Larry Deetjen of racism. The Slinkman's own three buildings renting to 84 families. The racial breakdown, they said, is 40 percent Black, 20 percent Hispanic, 20 percent Arab and 20 percent White. This is the audio from the meeting in which the Slinkman's spoke and then Village Trustee Robert Streit, reading from a prepared statement, blasted the Slinkman's accusing their tenants of an endless list of criminal behavior.
